七六人今年在紐澤西州的史塔克頓學院（Stockton University）舉辦訓練營，Simmons是在今天的最後一個項目全場五對五受傷。
球團首席隊醫Christopher Dodson等人在看過Simmons的X光與核磁共振（MRI）結果後確認傷勢，不過目前不曉得受傷跟他短期內增加的23磅體重有無關聯。
已經連續3年拿不到20勝的七六人累積了不少潛力，但包括Nerlens Noel、Joel Embiid、Jahlil Okafor都曾遭受嚴重傷痛困擾。
